Driving license fee enhanced, registration of vehicles becomes expensive

Hyderabad: Govt. of Telangana has decided to enhance charges for various services. Learning license fee has been increased from Rs. 30 to Rs. 100. Driving license fee for ordinary vehicle will now be Rs. 200 instead of Rs. 50. The fee for non-transport driving license has been increased from Rs. 100 to Rs. 300.

Official sources indicated that in non-transport section, the registration fee of two-wheeler has now been increased from Rs. 100 to Rs. 200. Except non-transport two-wheeler vehicles, the registration fee has been increased from Rs. 200 to Rs. 400. Registration fee for auto-rickshaws has been raised from Rs. 100 to Rs. 150. For other vehicles, registration charges have been increased from Rs. 200 to Rs. 400. Auto-rickshaw fitness certificate charges have been increased from Rs. 30 to Rs. 100. For other vehicles, fitness certificate charges have been increased from Rs. 60 to Rs. 200. Surcharge on tax paid up to Rs. 500 is increased from Rs. 5 to Rs. 25. Surcharge for paying more than Rs. 500 as tax is increased from Rs. 10 to Rs. 50.

It is reported that although Govt. issued the GO but it has not been put on website. The officials of the transport department are tight lipped about the date of implementation of the enhancement of these charges.
