New Delhi, Aug 24 : Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Manoj Jha on Monday dubbed the deal between the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and yoga guru Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurveda Limited to manufacture and market some of its herbal supplements and food products as ‘unfortunate’.
On the issue of the partnership Jha said, “It is unfortunate. It looks like BJP wants to oblige everyone who helped it come to power.” He emphasised on de-politicisation of national level institutions and called such deals as the ‘dirt of politics.’
Jha also targeted the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, saying, “eventually, you will see all kinds of literature preaching parochial sense of history from the RSS headquarter being sold at DRDO.”
The Defence Research and Development Organisation on Sunday entered into licensing agreements with Ramdev’s company for transfer of sea buckthorn technology based products developed by Defence Institute of High Altitude Research (DIHAR).(ANI)
