Drawing of lots for selection of Khadimul Hujjaj (Hajj volunteers) will be held on May 12. Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel Special Secretary Minority Welfare Department Telangana, Mr. Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal Special Secretary and Commissioner Minority Welfare Department, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and Mr. Mohammed Jalaluddin Akber will attend as chief guests. Prof. S A Shukoor Special Officer Telangana State Hajj Committee will preside over.
This year 162 applications have been received for Khadimul Hujjaj of which 142 have been declared eligible after scrutiny. Altogether14 Hajj volunteers will be selected for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states.
