HYDERABAD: The Telangana State Haj Committee announced that the ‘Qurrah’ (draw of lots) for selection of Haj pilgrims for 2019 will be held at Haj House Nampally on Saturday. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, home minister will inaugurate the Qurrah.
The Haj Committee of India has allotted a total Haj quota of 4,169 for the state of Telangana. Of the total, 484 seats will be under the reserved category for 70 plus age group pilgrims and would be selected automatically with no drawing lots.
The Qurrah or draw of lots for the remaining 3,685 seats will be held on Saturday. The Telangana State Haj committee received a total of 13,368 applications for Haj Pilgrimage 2019.
