Dr Shanker Rao demands action against officials: Shifting Jagan in jail van

Finding fault with the security officers for shifting the YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in a common vehicle, former minister Dr P Shanker Rao has demanded the state government to initiate action against the officers concerned.

Speaking to the media at CLP office premises here on Monday, Dr Rao said that Jagan was an MP and he was only an under-trail prisoner and the guilt was not proved to shift him in a jail vehicle. He asked as to who will own the responsibility if something happened to Jagan.

Condemning the social activist Anna Hazare’s criticism against the Prime Minister Dr Man Mohan Singh, Dr Rao said that it was not proper to Anna team to target the Prime Minister, who was synonym to sincerity.

Finding fault with the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for describing the vote to Jagan as vote to ‘Katike’ people, Dr Rao said that the Katike people were extending full support to the Congress party, but now they felt hurt with the Chief Minister’s comparison. He said that the Are Katike people were staging dharna for the last three days here demanding the Chief Minister to tender an apology to the community. (NSS)
