Mumbai: Dr Shaista Khan, Former principal Ismail Yousuf College has been nominated for President Award for her services to Persian language and literature. Dr Shaista Akhtar Javed Khan has been striving for the promotion and development of Persian language for the past 40 years. Even after retirement, she has continued her efforts for the development of the Persian language for the past 5 years. She has compiled 5 books on Persian. She is proud to get the award. Her husband Mohammed Javed Khan former Assistant Commissioner of Police was also bestowed with President Award in 1999.
