Hyderabad: Progressive Writers’ Association of Telangana is organizing centenary celebrations of noted communist leader and champion of Urdu movement, Dr. Raj Bahadur Gaur. The inaugural function will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, 21st July at Urdu Hall, Himayatnagar.
Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily and Chairman of Reception Committee will welcome the guests. Mr. N. Narasimha Reddy, Home Minister will be the Chief Guest.
Prof. Baig Ehsas, Chairman, Progressive Writers’ Association of Telangana will preside over the inaugural function.
Mr. K.V. Ramanachari, IAS (Rtd.), Mr. B. Narasing Rao, Mr. Sudhakar Reddy (CPI), Rani Indira Dhanrajgirji, Mr. Rajinder Rajan (General Secretary, All India Progressive Writers’ Association), Prof. S.V. Satyanarayana VC of Telugu University and others will be the guests of honour.
Mr. Mujataba Husain, Mr. Ali Javed, Mr. Shameem Faizi, Mr. Syed Aziz Pasha, Ms. Tamara Gaur will address the gathering. Mr. S.A. Rauf, Secretary of the association will propose vote of thanks. After the inaugural function, gazal program will be held.
On Sunday, 22nd July seminar will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
