Noted Psychiatrist, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Majeed Khan breathed his last at 5:30 p.m. yesterday. He was 81. He was the representative of the Ganga-Jamuna culture of Hyderabad. He was a very popular Doctor. During the last phase of rule of Nawab Meer Osman Ali Khan, he studied at Darul Uloom High School. He completed MBBS from Osmania University, FRCP from London and Specialization in Psychiatry from Australian University. After working as Govt. Medical Officer at Nizamabad, he joined Osmania Hospital. He was one of the experts in Psychiatry. He presented Research Paper at National and International Conferences. He was a regular reader of Siasat Urdu Daily for the past 6 decades. He used to write a column in Sunday Edition of this newspaper for the past 3 decades. He survived by his wife, two daughters, 2 brothers and a sister. His funeral prayer will be offered after Zohar at Masjid Alia, Gunfoundry.
