Kadapa, March 16: Former state minister Dr. Khaleel Basha was severely injured in a road accident yesterday night. His car rammed into a stationary tractor at Sambe palli mandal of Rae choti in Kadapa district. Khaleel Basha suffered serious head injuries and hand fracture in the accident.
According to details Dr. Khaleel Basha was coming to Kadapa via car to settle his second son’s marriage when his car crashed into a stationary tractor near Sambe Pally. His driver Mahboob Basha was also severely injured in the accident. They were rushed to the Rae Choti government hospital for primary treatment thereafter they were shifted to RIMS at Kadapa.
Dr. Khaleel Basha got serious head injuries, he received 20 stitches for head wound. Seeing his critical condition RIMS doctors advised to take him to Chennai thus he was shifted to a private hospital at Chennai late night.
On learning about the accident TDP leaders including Mysura Reddy, TDP vice president Subhan Basha, Gulf wide Congress president Ilyas and others and a large number of people gathered near RIMS.
