DPS bus collides with truck, kills 6 children along with driver in Indore

Indore: Six children, as well as the driver of Delhi Public School died after the school bus collided with a truck in Bicholi area on Friday.

The accident occurred after bus steering got jammed and rammed head-on into a truck, News18 reported as officials saying.

According to TOI, eyewitnesses claimed the bus was carrying around 30 children when driver lost control of the vehicle causing it to jump the divider. A truck moving in opposite direction hit the bus.

The collision resulted into a complete smashing of the bus’ front, passersby rushed toward the rescue of injured.

Ambulances also reached the scene taking injured children to Bombay hospital for treatment. Doctors claimed that the condition of some children is critical.

“We have received information about deaths of as many as six children as of now. The driver of the school bus died on the spot,” additional SP Manoj Rai told TOI.
