A 24-year-old woman succumbed to the burn injuries which she had sustained after setting herself ablaze.
According to Madannapet police, the victim, Y. Usha, 24, resorted to the extreme step at her residence in Ramchandra Nagar on January 5. She was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where she died today. She was allegedly being harassed for additional dowry by her in-laws which consequently drove her to suicide.
Police have registered a case under Sections 498A and 306 IPC against her husband Y. Raju, his mother Lalitha, brother Ravi Kiran and sister Sapna. (INN)
