A 25-year-old house wife died of burn injuries which she suffered after setting herself ablaze at her residence in Pitala Basti of Alwal.
According to Alwal police, the deceased E Chenni W/o Raju R/o Pitala Basti of Alwal had allegedly setting her ablaze at her residence on Saturday night hours, immediately rushed to Gandhi Hospital for treatment where doctors declared brought dead.
Deceased husband allegedly being mentally and physically harassed for additional dowry for last few months, deceased taking extreme step of suicide set ablaze herself.
Alwal police registered a case of dowry harassment against her husband Raju under section 498A and 306 IPC and after autopsy deceased body handed over to her parents and began investigation. (INN)
