A 26-year-old woman died after committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Maheshwaram police station limits.
According to Maheshwaram police, the deceased R Dhana Lakshmi (27) an Housewife W/o Venkanna alias Anjaneyulu Resident of Maheshwaram, had allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence on Friday night hours.
Deceased Dhana Lakshmi married with Venkanna about nine years back, her husband allegedly being mentally and physically harassed for additional dowry for last few weeks, deceased taking extreme step of suicide and ended her life over it.
Maheshwaram police has been registered a case of dowry harassment under sections 498A and 306 IPC and dead body shifted to Osmania Hospital Mortuary for postmortem, after autopsy deceased body handed over to her relatives and began investigations. (INN)
