A 22-year-old woman committed suicide allegedly due to harassment for additional dowry.
The victim, Shweta, resorted to the extreme step by jumping down from the top floor of her building in Brindavan Colony in Kushaiguda police on June 15. She had sustained grievous injuries and was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital where she succumbed on Thursday night. According to police, Shweta was married to one Sharad about one year ago. However, she was being harassed for additional dowry by her husband and his relatives. Unable to bear the harassment, she committed suicide. (INN)
