A 36-year-old woman committed suicide allegedly due to harassment by her husband.
The deceased, Ateeqa Begum, resorted to the extreme step by setting herself ablaze at her residence in Chintala Basti in Tandur police limits on November 16. She was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where she died on Thursday. She was reportedly being harassed by her husband Abdul Saleem Qureshi asking her to get a share in her father’s property at Kalapather.
Tandur police have registered a case under Sections 498 A and 306 against Qureshi and began investigations. (INN)
