A 27-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling allegedly due to harassment by her husband for additional dowry.
According to Jawahar Nagar police, the deceased, B Lavanya, took the extreme step on Sunday night at her residence in PJR Nagar. She had a six-year-old son Giridhar and 14-month daughter Jhanvi. She was allegedly being harassment by her husband Laxmi Narayana for more dowry.
A case under Sections 498A and 306 has been registered and further investigations are on. (INN)
