A 24-year-old woman committed suicide allegedly due to the harassment by her husband and in-laws for more dowry.
According to LB Nagar police, the deceased, Orsu Lalitha, took the extreme step by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in Jaipuri Colony on Saturday night. She was allegedly being harassed by her husband Nagesh, a GHMC Contractor, and his relatives for more dowry. She was married about five years ago and had a four-year-old daughter.
A case under Section 304 B has been registered and further investigations are on. (INN)
