A 24-year-old woman committed suicide allegedly due to harassment for additional dowry.
According to Chandanagar police, the victim, Pravalika, took the extreme step on Saturday night by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in Rajiv Gruha Kalpa in Papireddy Colony. She was married to Madhusudan Rao in 2009. She was allegedly being harassed by her husband and in-laws for more dowry which consequently drove her to suicide. She had reportedly attempted suicide for the same reason in the past.
Chandanagar police are investigating the case. (INN)
