A bride who was married 6 months ago committed suicide at SR Nagar area. According to police sources 22 year old Achvita, wife of Harishkant, resident of A B colony, took the extreme step in the wee hours of Thursday.
According to police sources Achvita was given 6 lakh cash, 180 gms gold jewellery and a plot as dowry at the time of marriage. However her husband and his relatives began harassing her for further Rs. 5 lakhs. Dejected over this Achvita committed suicide.
