All the national and State highways in Andhra Pradesh were flooded with heavy rain for two hours from 6 am to 8 am bringing normal life to a standstill. The worst affected were the school and college going students.
The rain water inundated the roads with the drainage at Benz circle in Vijayawada town was filled with garbage. Heavy rain lashed several districts in Andhra Pradesh disrupting vehicular traffic movement to several villages and inundating standing crop. Heavy rain lashed Visakhapatnam, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Chittoor and Anantapur districts for the last 24 hours under the influence of upper air circulation. (NSS)
