Hyderabad, March 19 (Siasat News): The leaders of minority cell of Congress met president Pradesh Congress and demanded to suspend MP L Rajgopal from the party. The leaders handed over a memorandum to D. Srinivas and said that due to Rajgopal venomous statement, the image of Congress is affected.
That is why stern action should be taken against him. At this, Mr. Srinivas promised that he would forward the memorandum to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Veerappa Moily and Ahmed Patel.
He clarified that he is not authorized to take action against Rajgopal that is why it would be sent to the center. According to the details, on the issue of the partition of the state, Vijaywada MP Rajgopal had prepared a memorandum against Sri Krishna Committee where he had derogatory remarks against Muslims.
However, when Muslim leaders of Congress noticed these remarks, they also prepared a memorandum during the preparation of the meeting on Muslim Reservations to be held at Gandhi Bhavan and taken the signatures of the Congress leaders. Anyway, a shock was waiting for them as when they approached the former minister Md. Ali Shabbir for his signatures, he flatly refused to do so.
Even the request made by another former minister Mr. Fareeduddin bore no fruit. This is to be noted here that Seema Andhra MLA from Madanpalli Mr. Shahjahan, had also signed the memorandum.
On the other hand L Rajgopal’s letter is encouraging the regionalism and carrying abuses for Muslims. After Md. Ali Shabbir’s refusal, the memorandum was handed over to Mr. D Srinivas and the copies of the same has been sent to the leaders mentioned above and the CM Andhra Pradesh Mr. K Rosaiah.
In their memorandum, the Congress leaders have drawn the attention of the false statements of L Rajgopal made against the Nizam dynasty, confederation of Hyderabad state with Indian Union and the thoughts of Jawaharal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of independent India.
Congress leaders also said that Rajgopal had said that in case of formation of separate Telangana, Hyderabad would be turned into a bastion of ISI. So it’ll be a fitting action if Rajgopal is shown the exit door.
They also alleged that Rajgopal has become the agent of BJP and tarnishing the secular and democratic character of congress. It is also said that Md. Ali Shabbir has always presented himself as the lone Muslim leader of Congress but it is really a matter of shame that he has refused to sign the memorandum and thus shown his true face.
It is also confirmed that come what may, Md. Ali Shabbir will support L Rajgopal in order to gain his own interests despite Rajgopal’s Muslim enmity. It is also proved that Shabbir is out there to damage the Telangana cause.
Earlier, Md. Ali was also alleged to have tried to start a Jai Ho Hyderabad campaign along with Rajgopal and others.

Saleem Khan, Zainul abedeen Abid, Syed Raza Hussein Azad, Dr. M A Ansari, Syed Nizamuddin, Khaja Raheemuddin, Md. Abdul Mubeen, M S Junaid and others.
