Ballia, January 25:A local court today awarded life imprisonment to eight persons in connection with a four-year old double murder case in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia district.
Convicting all the eight accused, Additional District Judge Radhey Shyam Singh also slapped a fine of Rs 5000 on each one of them.
On October four, 2006, Ram Bachan Yadav and Tarkeshwar Yadav were murdered over some property dispute in Ramupur Masrikh village, according to the prosecution.
A murder case was registered against eight persons and a chargsheet was filed in a court.
The Judge convicted all the eight for the double murder and awarded them life imprisonment. PTI
