A customer asks the price of bananas and apples, the shopkeeper tells him that bananas are at the rate of 12 dirham while apples are at 10 dirham. Soon a woman enters the shop. She too asks the rate of fruits. The shopkeeper tells her that bananas are 3 dirhams a dozen and apple are 2 dirham.
Listening to this, the previous customer stares the shopkeeper in anger. The shopkeeper signals him to wait for sometime. When the woman is gone, the shopkeeper tells the previous customer, By God! I haven’t cheated you in any way. Actually the woman is the mother of 4 orphan children. She doesn’t want to take anyone’s help. I tried several times but in vain.
Now I have got an idea, so whenever she comes to my shop I give her things at the least possible rate. This way I can help her and she can also maintain her integrity. I do this only for seeking Allah’s pleasure. The shopkeeper goes on to say that the woman comes once in a week, and the day when she comes his sales reach to maximum and the profit gets doubled, by the Grace of Allah.
