Do’s and Don’ts to Prevent Swine Flu

Do not shake hands while greeting, meeting people. Avoid crowded places.  Let’s maintain personal hygiene & keep our surroundings clean.  Do not take medicines without consulting doctor.  These are  the  precautionary measures  suggested for prevention of Swine Flu, which is spreading in the Capital of late.

The Commissioner, Health and Family Welfare & Mission Director, NHM, Government of Telangana,  came out with these suggestions.   Wash your hands regularly with soap and clean water;  close your mouth/nose while coughing/sneezing with handkerchief or hand;  Minimum 8 hours  of good sleep is required;  Drink plenty of water and eat nutritious food, were the other suggestions made by the official.  

           

Stating that prevention is better than cure, the notification said that cough, cold, fever; running nose, body pain; fatigue/tiredness; Head aches, Throat pain; Shortness of breath are  the symptoms of swine flu.  The high risk groups are  Pregantn women,  children below five years,  Aged persons above 60 years and persons suffering from chronic diseases like diabetics, etc.
