Our houses are those forts in which the responsibility of giving directions and also to fix the priorities of our life lies on the father as the head of the family. According to his directions, we will either enter Heaven or will be dumped into Hell. Allah, the Almighty has made the head of the family responsible for all the good and bad things of his Kith and Kin.
Allah has also warned us to educate all the persons under our patronage to train them to lead their lives according to the path shown by our Prophet (SAWS). Dr. Javeed Mukarram Siddiqui, member of the Advisory Committee of Jamaat-e-Islami of India (Maharashtra) expressed these thoughts while addressing the quarterly gathering of Jamaat-e-Islami of Hyderabad city at Public Garden’s open air theatre on Saturday on the topic “Save yourself and your family members from the fire of Hell”. In his address, he said the top priority of the parents and guardians should be to impart Islamic education and training to their children. This responsibility falls on their shoulders when they pronounce “Azaan” in the ears of their newly born children. The addressee of the words of Azaan is the father himself at the outset. The meeting started with the recitation of the Quranic verses.
Dr. Khalid Mubashiruzzafar, Incharge of Jamaat-e-Islami of Hyderabad City, in his inaugural speech, told that on account of the electronic era, the echo of such Islamic gatherings reaches every nook and corner of the world. The world brotherhood is realizing the effects of such Islamic gatherings. Mr. Tajammul Hussain presented the poem.
Continuing his address, Dr. Javeed Mukarram Siddiqui told that in order to impart right kind of Islamic Training, the parents themselves should mould their lives on the lines of the life of Prophet Mohammed (SAWS).
He has to mould himself as an affectionate father and a kind husband in the house. In order to make the household environment pleasant, father has to treat his children with love and affection. He should share the household work with his wife. H should not think that the household work in inferior.
In this way, children will be assured of father’s affection and wife his love. Children will gladly accept young good advice with pleasure. He cited many examples from the life of Prophet Mohammed (SAWS) and told that there is a need to bring about a very healthy revolution. In the end, he said that there is no need for us to get disappointed with the present situation. There is a need for all of us, to rise to the occasion cumulatively and be hopeful that Allah will bless us in our efforts to impart good moral training to our children.
Mr. Mohammed Ameenuddin, Emir of Jamat-e-Islami of Malakpet, presented the traditions of Prophet Mohammed (SAWS) on the topic “Reality of Meraj”. He said the Ascent of Prophet Mohammed (SAWS) is in fact the preamble and curtain raiser for those who disobey Allah and his messenger. Punishments for the sinners were exhibited in vivid forms. It is obligatory for all of us to refrain from sins and also save our Kith and Kin form all the sins.
Maulana Abdul Aziz, Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami’s “Islaah-e-Muashira” (Society reformation) section addressed on “The establishment of Deen and our Responsibilities”. Addressing the gathering he said that the motto of life of a Muslim is to establish Islamic values and religion. Allah took away all the positions and honours from the Muslims when they didn’t fulfill this mission. We can regain our lost status if we make Islam the motto of our life Mr. Abdur Rab Mujahid Lateefi, Secretary Jamaat-e-Islami of AP stressed the need to change the present situation of the country. Engineer Muneeb Ahmed Khan, presented vote of thanks at the end of the meeting.
