Taking objection to Hyderabad Metro Development Authority (HMDA) plans to auction plots in Hyderabad this week, Telangana Rashtra Samithi issued a warning that it would be compelled to launch ‘save Hyderabad lands’agitation to expose conspiracy of government to loot prime lands of Telangana.
It also warned prospective buyers about the fact that all illegal land allotment agreements stand to be nullified in the newly formed state of Telangana.
The Hyderabad Metro Development Authority is planning to generate Rs.120 crore through auctioning of 44 plots in Nallagandla, Miyapur, Ramachandrapuram, Tellapur, Gopanapally and 4.7 acres of prime land in Nandagiri Hills near Jubilee Hills, informed Dr Sravan, TRS politburo member in a press release.
HMDA in its budget estimates for 2012-13 proposed to generate about Rs 355 crore through sale of land and plots in and around Hyderabad, he alleged.
Charging the N Kiran Kumar Reddy government of transforming into a real estate agency, the TRS leader alleged Chief Minister of making attempts for hindering the future growth of Telangana by selling all the available lands in the state capital.
‘We are on the verge of obtaining separate statehood for Telangana. Land is a vital resource for the future of any new state. We cannot let this valuable wealth, inherited from Nizam, be sold away like this’, the TRS leader warned.
Dr Sravan pointed out that Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy was trying to prove himself that he is no lesser than former Chief Ministers, Chandrababu Naidu and YSR in terms of real estate deals.
