Don’t embarrass India again! Engineer sends Rs.364 for Kejriwal to buy shoes

Sumit Agrawal, an architect engineer from Visakhapatnam wrote an open letter to Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and sent a demand draft (DD) of Rs 364 asking Aam Aadmi Party chief to buy a pair of shoes.

It is to be noted that Kejriwal was invited for the dinner at Rashtrapati Bhavan where French President Francois Hollande was also present. However, Kejriwal was spotted wearing floaters at the President’s dinner. This has broken Sumit Agrawal’s heart and he thinks that Delhi CM should learn the etiquette to meet a guest at least.

“I came across an article saying that you met Mr. Hollande at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, in the presence of the Hon’ble President of India, wearing sandals! It broke my heart to see you like this. I’m deeply aggrieved, “Sumit wrote expressing his anger over Kejriwal’s choice of footwear.

I could just accumulate Rs. 364 for you. In spite of the fact that such an unremarkable sum is insufficient for the Chief Minister, I trust any sum is sufficient for the somebody who asserts that he has no shoes regardless of having a month to month pay of “just” Rs. 2,10,000,” composed Sumit.

After collecting amount, Sumit made a DD in the name of Delhi Chief Minister and sent it through speed post.

“I humbly request your good self to kindly accept this small contribution & use it to buy a nice pair of black formal shoes,” he wrote. Below is the complete transcript of Sumit Agarwal’s open letter.
