Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy today exhorted people not to show discrimination towards girls in their families. Extending greetings on the occasion of International Women’s Day celebrations, Padma said the State government was stuck to the development of women.
Participating in the International Women’s Day celebrations held at TRS Bhavan here on Tuesday, Padma said the women have to co-operate with each other for the empowerment of women. The women could do wonders if they get opportunities and in this context the women have to catch the opportunities, she opined.
Reminding that women faced a lot of hardships for procuring drinking water during the previous regimes, Padma said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was striving to provide drinking water to every household to mitigate their hardships. She also exhorted the women delegates to strive for Bangaru Telangana State. (NSS)
