A meeting was conducted by Amoomat society on “Domestic Violence & Human Trafficking: Role of Community leaders and Organizations”. Mr. Nikhat Shama in her inaugural speech said that ‘Today woman is being exploited in the name of human trafficking, surrogacy etc.’
Chief guest Mrs. Florrie Burke claimed that women will get power only when they will equip themselves with education. She told that of the human crimes, gender discrimination, domestic violence, human trafficking are far more dangerous than smuggling of drugs and weapons of destruction; because unlike drugs and weapons, women are sold time and again and each time she is exploited. She urged NGOs, teachers, advocates, police and other government institutions to come forward for this great cause and try to stop this oppression.
During her presidential address Mr. Nasera Khanam asserted that woman is not weak but she is a force in herself. Educated and God-fearing women can bring about revolutionary changes in their homes, family, society and country.
