A general physician, who secretly filmed himself abusing female patients with a James Bond-style camera fitted watch, has been jailed for 12 years.
Taking the advantage of his post, Dr Davinder Jeet Bains, assaulted at least 25 women and secretly filmed more than 100, the Sun reported.
He also performed needless intimate tests on more than 200 female patients with some as young as 14 year old.
Bains was termed as a ‘disgrace to the medical profession’ by Judge Douglas Field of the Swindon Crown Court.
The judge said during the procedure: “The videos were taken by you using a specially-constructed watch to record intimate examinations, no doubt for your own sexual gratification.”
Bains used his ‘Tieex 4GB Waterproof HD Spy Watch DVR’ which has a built-in camera on the face, for the purpose.
He admitted his guilt in 39 charges, which include 13 of assault by penetration, 13 of voyeurism, 11 of sexual assault and two of sexual activity with a child.
Bains, who worked at the Tinkers Lane Surgery in Royal Wooton Bassett, committed offences against 27 women aged 14-51 years.
He pleaded not guilty to three charges of sexual assault and a single count of administering a noxious drug with intent to commit a sexual offence.
The police was first alerted about the doctor by a 17-year-old, who became doubtful of him filming her showering.
She had also accused him of sexually assaulting her in Swindon.
The cops found 361 high-quality video clips from Bains’s watch and home computer. (ANI)
