Bulandshahr, September 20: A female attendant of a patient was allegedly manhandled by a doctor at the government hospital here leading to a chaotic scene and disruption in services following which a probe was ordered.
Patient Nasir claimed the doctor was in an inebriated condition and slapped his wife last evening.
Their relatives staged a demonstration in the hospital premises today that affected medical services for some time.
As they refused to budge, PAC personnel was posted at the hospital.
According to Chief Medical Superintendent R K Verma, Nasir complained that the doctor slapped his wife.
A three-member committee has been formed to probe the incident and it has been asked to submit its report within a week, Verma said.
No police complaint has been lodged.
