Lucknow February 10: A doctor was arrested in Aligarh today on the charge of trying to rape a 12-year-old girl who had gone to his clinic for a check-up.
Special Director General of Police Brij Lal said Dr Tanveer was arrested on the complaint of the father of the girl.
The girl had gone to the clinic yesterday evening in connection with a problem in her ear when the doctor made a bid to rape her, Brij Lal said adding as she raised an alarm he fled.
A case was registered at the Gangiri police station and he was later arrested
