A city-based gynaecologist, who withdrew his anticipatory bail plea from the Gujarat High Court yesterday, was today arrested by the city Crime Branch for alleged human trafficking, police said.
“We arrested Dr Bharat Atit today afternoon. We will produce him in the court tomorrow and seek police remand for interrogation to gather more evidence in the case,” said inspector B M Desai, who is the investigating officer in the case.
