Do Yoga regularly for good health: Governor

Governor ESL Narasimhan today exhorted people to do Yoga daily to keep diseases at bay.

Addressing a gathering after participating in the International Yoga Day celebrations held at ‘Samskruti’ Community Centre at Raj Bhavan complex on Thursday along with his wife Vimala Narasimhan, the Governor said regular yoga practice will keep one healthy. He also said it is our responsibility to treasure the ancient system of Yoga for posterity. The Governor said everyone should imbibe the practice of Yoga as part of daily lifestyle to maintain good health and fitness.

Practice of Yoga is very simple and by practising Pranayama or breathing exercises for 10 to 15 minutes every day, one can maintain better mental and physical health, he said. The Governor also said Yoga should be practiced not once a year but should become a part of everyday activity.

Yoga Guru Ravi Kishore conducted Yoga exercises along with his disciples at the Raj Bhavan premises. Vimala Narasimhan, Advisors to Governor APVN Sharma, AK Mohanty, Principal Secretary Harpreet Singh, officers and staff members, police and security personnel of Raj Bhavan participated in the event organized to mark the occasion of International Day of Yoga 2018. Narasimhans also participated in the Yoga event conducted in the Raj Bhavan Government High School, according to a press release here today. (NSS)
