New Delhi, January 04: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is all set to connect Delhi and Ghaziabad with metro. Delhi Metro will starts its services from Laxmi Nagar in east Delhi up to Anand Vihar, near to Ghaziabad from January 7, 2010, DMRC sources said.
The 6.25 km Metro link will be inaugurated by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and Union Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy.
After the inauguration of Delhi Metro link, it will be open for public from next day i.e January 8, 2010.
Earlier, the Safety Commissioner of Delhi Metro RK Kadam today inspected the new Delhi-Ghaziabad link and it is expected that he will give his clearance on January 5, 2010.
After inauguration, the VIPs and mediapersons will travel on this new link, sources said. The link will have five stations, including Anand Vihar, Karkardooma, Preet Vihat, Nirman Vihar, and Laxmi Nagar.
