Chennai, February 04: A day after expressing their protest over the ten-day suspension of Leader of the Opposition Vijayakanth, wearing black shirts, DMDK members today boycotted Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s reply today while members of the DMK staged a walk out and a few others evicted by the Speaker. The opposition benches wore a deserted look as DMDK members, who came to the House yesterday, wearing black shirts, boycotted the House today when Ms Jayalalithaa replied to the debate on the motion of thanks to the Governor for his address to the House. Party Legislator Arun Pandian was the lone member to turn up in the House but he too left after coming to know that his colleagues had boycotted. The House on February two slapped a ten-day suspension on Mr Vijayakanth for his actions lowering the dignity of the House after a heated exchange with Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. When she started replying to the debate this morning, the House witnessed noisy scenes as DMK members protested against Ms Jayalalithaa taking a dig at their leader and Former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi without mentioning him by name.
