Hyderabad, April 13: Terming health minister and Kadapa Lok Sabha candidate DL Ravindra Reddy’s allegations against Jagan Mohan Reddy as those made out of frustration, YSR Congress party leader Ambati Rambabu today questioned why the Congress government had failed to take action against their leader (Jagan) if he had really indulged in illegal activities.
“Why is it that Kiran Kumar Reddy as the chief minister and Ravindra Reddy as a minister remained silent and have not sent Jagan to jail if the latter had really indulged in illegal activities? The Congress leaders are resorting to mudslinging against Jagan to gain political mileage in Kadapa byelections,” he remarked.
The health minister had alleged that Jagan had paid Rs 5 lakh to Mangali Krishna to murder former minister and TDP leader Paritala Ravindra and also lent support in the murder of Konda Murali’s (husband of MLA Konda Surekha) opponent Pratap Reddy. Ambati said Ravindra Reddy was involved in many criminal activities.
