Hyderabad, September 24: Former minister and Mydukur MLA DL Ravindra Reddy on Thursday demanded cancellation of agreement reached between the APIIC and Emaar Properties company in accordance with the recommendations made by the Solicitor General and the experts committee constituted by the state government.
Addressing newspersons in the Assembly premises, Ravindra Reddy made it clear that he had no intention to target the individuals, but would only seek corrective measures to remove loopholes in the system.
The APIIC board should immediately call for a meeting and decide for cancellation of the agreement with Emaar Properties and get injunction orders for stoppage of further land registrations. Besides, steps should be taken to take back the lands given to Emaar and to handover the same to the farmers.
Apart from the officials concerned, there was scope for involvement of ‘some’ political leaders behind the alleged irregularities in the APIIC-Emaar issue.
