DLF5 celebrates Womanhood on International Women’s Day

Gurugram: Every year, DLF commemorates International Women`s Day which celebrates the uniqueness and greatness of being a woman. This year, DLF5 and Hines organized an array of activities to engage the residents and the corporates based out of One Horizon and Two Horizon.

Horizon Plaza was abuzz with the engaging panel discussion between eminent women personalities on the occasion of International Women`s Day. Moderated by Upasana Mathur, Co-founder of the Famous GurgaonMoms Book Club, and Director PR of GurgaonMoms, the panel included accomplished women from different fields.

Monica Bindra – entrepreneur behind brand Laiqa spoke of female hygiene and menstrual health; Bani Yadav – India’s ace women rally driver commented on the adrenaline rush and the opportunities for women in seemingly male-dominated sports; Ayandrali Dutta – travel blogger and home chef behind AD’s cookhouse spoke of populating Bengali cuisine in Delhi, NCR and exploring unchartered territories through her travel escapades and Vasudha Rai, the Author of the Book – Glow highlighted the importance of rituals of beauty, taking in a balanced diet.

“It was a treat to attend this evening. The panel was interestingly chosen and it was wonderful to listen to ideas and experiences from the leaders of such diverse backgrounds. A great initiative by DLF5 indeed,” said one of the attendees.

The event saw an enthusiastic turnout of women as well as men who asked various questions from the panelists. The conversation revolved around the theme of 2019, “Balance for Better”. During the conversation – intricately woven by Upasana, the panelists shared their ideas and experiences along with some interesting anecdotes from their lives.

Also, there were products made by underprivileged on display by ReadIndia, an NGO dedicated towards the education of rural communities.
