Former minister D.L. Ravindra Reddy on Friday announced that he would join the movement for formation of separate Rayalaseema State.
Ravindra Reddy expressed concern over the amount spent on foundation stone laying ceremony of Amaravathi, the new capital of Andhra Pradesh. He said people of Rayalaseema were not happy over the construction of new capital in coastal Andhra region. He said formation of separate state of Rayalaseema was the only solution to end injustices done to the region.
He accused YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy of remaining silent over the injustices being done to Rayalaseema. Asking Jagan to support the movement, he said that the statehood demand enjoys the support of all people of Rayalaseema. (INN)
