DL challenges TDP, Jagan to pull down govt

Hyderabad, May 29: Minister for Health and Medical Education DL Ravindra Reddy, who could not retain his deposit in the recent by-elections to the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat, challenged both the Telugu Desam Party and the YSR Congress Party to introduce a No Confidence Motion on the Floor of the House against the N Kiran Kumar Reddy government, ‘if they had the guts to do so.’

Dr Ravindra Reddy, who had conceded a landslide victory to YS Jaganmohan Reddy, alleged that both TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and the YSR Congress Party president were trying to blackmail the N Kiran Kumar Reddy government under the pretext of ‘No Confidence Motion.

He threw a gauntlet at them to move the said Motion if they had guts to do so. “Together they can not do anything,” said the Minister.

Dr Ravindra Reddy reminded that after the demise of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, his son YS Jaganmohan Reddy had claimed that he had 155-MLA strength. “This strength of 155 MLAs has now come down to just just three or four Legislators today,” he claimed.

“Mr Jaganmohan Reddy is exceeding limits in issuing threats to the Kiran Kumar Reddy government,” the Minister stated.

He asserted that the government would continue till 2014 and the Legislators were in fact rallying support for the Chief Minister. “There is no threat to the government,” he asserted.

Dr Ravindra Reddy also questioned whether YSR Congress party chief had the requisite strength to call for a discussion on the Floor of the house.
