Hyderabad, January 09: War of words took place between Health minister and Mydukur MLA DL Ravindra Reddy and supporters of former Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy today.
Alleging that Jagan was blackmailing the Congress MLAs and forcing them to join hands with him, Ravindra Reddy, at a press meet, challenged the five MLAs of Kadapa district backing Jagan to quit and win the seats again on Jagan’s party. “I will also quit if they want me to do so. I have won the seat on the Congress symbol, but not by having YSR’s photo,” he said.
Jagan’s close aid Ambati Rambabu challenged Ravindra Reddy to quit and win again from Mydukur without using YSR’s name.
Replying to a query, Ambati said that Jagan or his supporters were not in a position to bring pressure on MLAs and other leaders. In fact, it was chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and the Congress high command who were bringing ‘pressure’ on the MLAs, he alleged.
