Congress senior leader and MLA DK Aruna today criticized Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for ignoring his poll-eve promises and constantly changing his statements.
Talking to mediapersons at CLP on Wednesday, Aruna recalled that AP bifurcation bill was introduced in Parliament on the same day last year by the Congress despite many hurdles as party supremo Sonia Gandhi was determined to divide the State as per her promise. She also recalled that the TRS president had promised to merge his TRS into the Congress.
Aruna wondered while Sonia Gandhi delivered Telangana State as promised, there was not a single woman in KCR. She also slammed KCR for taking unilateral decisions and implementing policies which are against people’s interests. She also alleged that while KCR was allocating handsome funds to TRS MLAs, the Chief Minister was showing step-motherly treatment towards non-TRS MLAs.
Stating that there was no proper governance in the State under TRS regime, Aruna warned TRS chief not to provoke the unhappy people to launch another agitation. She also criticized the KCR government for not recognizing the supreme sacrifices of “Telangana Amaraveerulu”. She demanded that every one who had sacrificed their lives for separate State should be honored by the government. (NSS)
