DK Aruna goes on Padayatra for Gadwal district

Former Minister DK Aruna went on Padayatra on Tuesday from Jammulamma Temple in Jammichedu village in Gadwala surroundings aiming to achieve Gadwal district.

Speaking on this occasion, Aruna announced that she was ready to sacrifice her life for the sake of Gadwal district. She alleged that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was creating Wanaparthy as a district with selfish political interests. She demanded the state government to make Gandwal, which has all qualities, to make it as district.

Alampur MLA Sampath Kumar also participated in the padayatra. Speaking on this occasion, Sampath said that the people wanting to create Gadwal as district head quarters in the name of Jogulamba district for the last one year. The TRS government was not bothered about the agitations of the people and the people would teach a fitting lesson to it, he said.

  Aruna will walk for 60 kilometers across 30 villages via Gadwala, Itikyala, Manavapadu, Alampur etc and yatra will end on July 22 at Jogulamba temple. (NSS)
