Johannesburg : World number one Novak Djokovic has confirmed that he will begin his 2016 campaign at the Qatar Open, which starts on Monday.
The Serbian dominated men’s tennis last year as he bagged three Grand Slam titles besides making 15 consecutive tour finals and will aim to maintain his rampaging form during his warm-up tournament for the Australian Open in Qatar.
Djokovic said that he was excited to come back and perform at his best in the season opening tournament, Sport24 reported.
He also became the third man to reach all four Grand Slam finals in a year and would have completed a career grand slam if he hadn’t lost in the French Open to Stan Wawrinka last year. (ANI)
