Djokovic `honoured` to be tennis great after U.S. Open victory

Johannesburg: World number one Novak Djokovic, who captured his tenth major title at the U.S. Open, said that he is honoured to be a part of elite group of players who managed to win so many Grand Slams.

Six players have won more Grand Slam titles than Djokovic till now, with Swiss maestro Roger Federer at the top spot, Sport24 reported

Djokovic admitted that it has been an incredible season and he felt obliged to be mentioned alongside the greats.

He further said that he will continue to play like this, hoping that this might give him longevity and opportunities to win many more trophies.

The Serbian player said that he felt more complete as a player, adding that he is physically stronger and mentally experienced now.

The 28-year-old claimed 6-4, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 win over World number two Federer to clinch his second U.S. Open title. (ANI)
