Division of minority institutions on the basis of minority population likely

Telangana government plans to divide the minority institutions on the basis of minority population instead of number of districts. This was hinted in a high level meeting of various departments held by the chief secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma.

Ever since the beginning of the division process of various institutions Special Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel has been proposing the then chief secretary not to enforce the rule of 58 pc to Andhra and 42 pc to Telangana to minority welfare like other institutions. Because the minority population in Telangana is more. Hence the funds, infrastructure and workers should be divided on the basis of population. However the then government didn’t approved the proposal but the new government has come to the conclusion that division should be done one the basis of population and it is likely that minority welfare will be divided in the ratio of 58 for Telangana and 42 pc for Andhra.
