Division of mankind in the name of religion intolerable

Governor Uttarkhand Dr. Aziz Qureshi said some communal forces and terrorist elements want to establish fascist system by misusing religion. We have to combat such communal forces said Dr. Qureshi while addressing the Sadbhavna Sandesh Programme hosted by Siasat daily at Mahboob Husain Jigar Hall on Thursday. Addressing the youth he said ‘the future historian, with a pen in his hand, is reviewing your accomplishments observing what role you have played to combat communalism and terrorism.’

Mr. Qureshi maintained that division of mankind in the name of religion intolerable. Appreciating Mr. Zahed Ali Khan efforts to maintain his family traditions, Dr. Qureshi said Zahed Ali Khan’s sincere efforts are on to further brighten up the lamp of communal unity and peace, which was lighted by his father late Mr. Abid Ali Khan.

Addressing on the occasion Mr. Zahed Ali Khan said communalism has replaced corruption as top threat to the country. Communalism is also a form of terrorism combating which is the responsibility of every citizen of India.

Youngsters of Assam and Manipur present in the function held lighted candles of peace in their hands amidst slogans of communal harmony.

Mr. Zahed Ali Khan, on behalf of Siasat daily, gave away mementos to Mr. Ashok Sajjan and Mr. Saurav Doobey of National Foundation for Communal Harmony and children of Assam and Manipur.
