Division of land not acceptable: Dr. Qasim Rasool Ilyas

Hyderabad, October 01 (Siasat News): Opposing to the decision of Lucknow bench of Allahbad High court, Dr. Qasim Rasool Ilyas, convener All India Muslim Personal Law board said that Personal Law board would appeal to Supreme Court against the decision.

Talking to ‘Siasat’ correspondent Dr. Qasim Rasool Ilyas said ‘we are disappointed by the verdict to some extent.

The court has not answered some questions in its decision due to which the decision is not clear yet.’ Expressing his astonishment over the dismissal of Sunni Waqf Board’s petition on Babri Masjid title, he said ‘the basis on which the court has dismissed the petition is incomprehensible.

Sunni waqf board had provided solid proofs to the court despite that the proofs have been ignored while pronouncing the verdict.’ He said ‘the Personal Law Board had cleared its stand that if the verdict would not be in favour of mosque then it would be appealed in the Supreme Court.’
