Divide budget, reservations to States: TRS

Hyderabad: TRS MP Jithender Reddy today demanded that the Centre divide the budget to all the States and powers for implementing reservations.
Talking to medipersons here today, Jithender Reddy said the Centre can retain Defence and External Affairs and give powers of other departments to the States to take their own decisions. “The States are supposed to implement need-based reservations and implement schemes”, he said. However, the Centre was yet to take a call on the key issues of budgets and powers to the States for reservations.

“Others States have to learn from Telangana, which was implementing several schemes of welfare”, the TRS leader said. He also said top leaders like Devi Lal, Charan Singh and Deve Gouda had done nothing for the cause of the farmers in the country. He said Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bheema schemes were helpful to the farmers in Telangana and credit goes to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. No other States or chief ministers have taken up such schemes like KCR has done, he claimed.
